The traditional “pão com linguiça”, one of the most beloved snacks among Brazilians and easily found in roadside restaurants, can also be found easily in street markets and some snack bars. In addition to the sausage, it is common to add cheese and various sauces.

Considered by many people to be one of the best savory snacks in Brazil, “coxinha” is a national favorite. It can be combined with the most diverse drinks and sauces and is perfect for a quick meal. This snack is typically Brazilian and has imperial origins. a dough made with potatoes and stuffed with chicken breast. It’s very difficult to go to a Brazilian celebration, especially a birthday party, and not find coxinhas to delight the guests. Some people may think that street food is always synonymous with low quality. Sugarcane juice is a big exception and appears on this list as one of Brazilians’ favorite drinks that can be found in several snack bars and street markets. Sugarcane juice is a very energetic drink that, in addition to being natural, has a large amount of nutrients in its composition. If you’ve never tried it, don’t miss this opportunity when you visit Brazil. You won’t regret it, I guarantee it.

The famous Brazilian “podrão” could not be missing from this list. This sandwich is a basic burger, filled with simpler ingredients, almost always in large quantities and with homemade mayonnaise. In addition to the bread and hamburger, this sandwich can contain several other ingredients such as bacon, sausage, shoestring potatoes, salad, corn, cheese, peas and much more because the customer actually chooses what to add. These popular sandwiches are almost always sold in street stalls and foodtrucks and trying one of these is a must for anyone who enjoys street food and visits Brazil.
